Through the Vinyl Siding Institute's (VSI's) Certified Installer program, one of Home Visions Inc.'s most experienced professionals, Josh Spence, received thorough training on proper, industry-approved vinyl siding installation techniques.  VSI's certification process involves a combination of classroom training, hands-on instruction and a written test given by a VSI Certified Trainer.  Candidates must have a minimum of one year of experience.

Each VSI Certified Installer must demonstrate the knowledge and skills to properly install vinyl siding and accessories, based on the industry standard, ASTM D4756 (Practice for the Installation of Vinyl Siding).  When you hire a company certified through VSI's program, you can be confident that they know how to:

Simply stated, vinyl soffit is a great solution to cover any exterior overhang (carport ceiling, porch ceiling, roof overhangs, etc.) in a way that is neat, rodent proof and maintenance free.

Vinyl soffit also has a purpose in certain applications that should be discussed as homeowners consider siding and roofing projects for their homes.

Roof overhangs in most homes serve as a key component to proper attic ventilation and it is important to make sure that vented soffit is used.  Soffit areas on a home provide air intake which works in tandem with the ridge vent (exhaust vent) .  Without good soffit ventilation, the ridge vent does not work as it should.

Home Visions Inc. is proud to announce certification by CertainTeed as a 5-Star Contractor for Vinyl Siding and Trim.  HVI has partnered with CertainTeed for eight years and the relationship has driven continuing education and manufacturer training for all departments within the company.  There are several requirements to obtain 5-Star status, including the rigorous VSI Certified Installer Program, (Vinyl Siding Institute - Learn more at the link below!) which HVI completed earlier this year.

LOCAL VINYL SIDING PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVES RECERTIFICATION

Washington, DC, July 15th, 2011 -Christopher Hill of Home Visions Inc. in Beltsville, MD has renewed his Certified Installer status by passing a test on the latest vinyl siding application techniques.

Through the Vinyl Siding Institute's (VSI) VSI Certified Installer Program, all Certified Installers have completed a rigorous course of study and examination on the proper installation techniques for vinyl siding, soffit and accessories, as verified by an independent certification firm, Architectural Testing, Inc., and based on the standard ASTM D4756.  All Certified Installers must recertify their status every three years, and Hill has completed the recertification examination proving his continued knowledge of the proper installation techniques.

"The VSI Certified Installer Program was created to recognize top quality vinyl siding installers," said VSI President and CEO Jery Y.
